Honoring Ryan. Empowering futures.

Our Mission

The mission of the Ryan Thomas Stevens Foundation is to provide financial support to students while promoting financial literacy, personal growth, and a mindset focused on building a strong future. Inspired by Ryan’s passion for learning, discipline, and planning ahead, we aim to empower the next generation to create opportunities for themselves and others.

About

Ryan Thomas Stevens was born on September 12, 2005, and spent his early years in Haverhill, Massachusetts before moving to Venice, Florida with his family. A cherished son of Ellen and Michael and a loving brother to Danny, Ryan brought warmth, humor, and a genuine sense of care to everyone around him. He had a unique ability to make others feel loved, appreciated, and valued.

Ryan was a bright, driven, and passionate learner from a young age. He graduated with honors from Venice High School and was on track to receive his Associate’s Degree from Tallahassee State College before continuing at Florida State University as a junior. He was always thinking ahead, constantly learning, and working toward a future he was excited about. At the same time, Ryan was an old soul who cherished the simple moments, especially time spent with family at Newfound Lake, where summers were filled with laughter, traditions, and memories he held close.

Ryan will be remembered for his kindness and his deep love for sports and statistics. A dedicated fan of Syracuse basketball, Clemson football, and several professional teams, he was known for his fantasy sports knowledge, detailed spreadsheets, and passion for analyzing the game. Whether sharing advice, debating stats, or simply enjoying the competition, Ryan brought energy and joy to it all.

The Ryan Thomas Stevens Foundation was created to honor his legacy and inspire students who share his curiosity, drive, and vision for the future.

Fundraising Events

🏀 March Madness Bracket Fundraiser

Each year, the Ryan Thomas Stevens Foundation hosts a March Madness Bracket Fundraiser, bringing together friends, family, and community during one of Ryan’s favorite times of the year.

Ryan grew up loving March Madness. It was something he shared with his dad year after year, following the games, studying the matchups, and trusting the stats. That passion is what inspired this tradition.

The bracket is run where participants compete for a monetary prize while also giving back. A portion of the proceeds supports the foundation and helps fund its mission.

In 2025, we had 130 brackets submitted, and in 2026, that number grew to 192 brackets, showing the continued support and community behind Ryan’s legacy.

More than just a competition, this challenge brings people together, creates connection, and honors the things Ryan loved most. Sports, statistics, and a little friendly competition.
